On-Prem OIDC and LDAP Group License Assignment
The On-Prem OIDC and LDAP Group License Assignment feature streamlines access management for SLM by automatically assigning licenses based on user group membership in OIDC or LDAP directories. This feature allows system administrators to grant access to users in specific groups.
Capabilities.
Group-Based License Mapping - License administrators can map one or more LDAP or OIDC groups to a specific on-premise floating license for the Software License Management (SLM) system. They can also map multiple groups to a single license.
Automated License Assignment - You are automatically assigned a license when you authenticate with the SLM and are part of a mapped group. You will automatically be removed from the license if you are not in the mapped group.
Note
Administrators can differentiate between users added manually and those assigned automatically based on their group membership.
